Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas VIII SMP AL-Alifah Palembang Pada Materi Peluang

Abstract

Application of the Problem Based Learning Model to Improve the Learning Outcomes of Class VIII Students of Al-Alifah Islamic Middle School Palembang on Opportunity Material". Mathematics Education Study Program, Department of Mathematics Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. The aim of this research is to obtain a descriptive description of improving student learning outcomes through the Problem Based Learning model to improve the learning outcomes of class VIII students at Al-Alifah Islamic Middle School Palembang on opportunity material. This type of research is classroom action research. The research design refers to the Kemmis and Mc model. Taggart, namely planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. In the research that was carried out, it was found that the learning outcomes of class VIII students at Al-Alifah Islamic Middle School in Palembang had increased as shown by the percentage of classical learning completion in cycle I of 62%, while the percentage of classical learning completion in cycle II was 85%. This shows that there is an increase in learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II which has succeeded in achieving a classical learning completeness percentage of more than or equal to 70%. The results of teacher observations in cycle I were categorized as good and cycle II were categorized as very good, and the results of student observations were also categorized as very good. This shows that there was an increase in teacher and student activities from cycle I to cycle II. The research results show that the application of the Problem Based Learning model can improve the learning outcomes of class VIII students at Al-Alifah Islamic Middle School Palembang on opportunity material, by following the stages, namely: (1) Orienting students to problems, (2) Organizing students, (3) Guiding individual and group investigations, (4) Developing and presenting work results, and (5) Analyzing and evaluating the problem solving process..
